Money doesn't mean happiness

Updated: Jun 16, 2019

Deeply admired trader, Jesse Livermore committed suicide. Pretty shocked to learn of this today given his ingenuity.

Money, especially when made by trading seems dangerous for your mental health. Relying on speculation for income appears to be stressful and not worth it.

The more you get, the more you want. I feel blessed to have not grown up wealthy, even though that is what I strive to be. I even more desire the ability to be present and have that feeling of having enough.

Jack Bogle passed away 1/16/2019, a legend and a man of character that can not be modeled. From what I've read, I am not sure if a single man made more people rich especially considering it was at the cost of his own wealth.

Father of the index fund will be missed.

It was only about 3 months ago he warned us that index funds were getting too large. They are meant to track the market not move the market.

Bogle believed in average returns at low costs. Such a simple idea yet the brightest minds money can buy struggle to beat. He is also the prime representative of what one should strive for in life - a perfect example of an American, philanthropist, loving, caring, present, along with 1000 other adjectives - human being.

Bogle got enough!

An extremely rare feat for the soul. The amount of people to accomplish that kind of wealth and say that can probably be counted on 2 hands.

Batnick follows up with another article on this topic. (Added 4/7/2019)
