Duke hospitality work is no joke. Setting up kegs, foods, tents, coolers, and tables.
Then taking them down and storing them. I slept harder last night than I can ever remember. Folding and rolling a inflatable slide was the toughest task in a chilly below freezing night. Woke up a little sore this morning after a 130pm - 130am shift.
I watched Season 3 Episode 10 of Atypical recently and it's made me realize the importance of friends even more. Atypical is good strange drama comedy story with funny characters and dramatic scenes almost every episode. Being a good friend has reappeared in my face over and over again recently through TV, Twitter, and life. There's a couple quotes that I can't remember exactly but the points are this:
- a friendship is not only what you can give, but what you can receive
- friends help with your sanity by being interested in your life and letting you unload what's on your mind (usually without judgement)
- being a good/better friend will improve your life and make you a good/better person
Moment of gratitude: good friends. Try to say thank you and show appreciation as often as possible.
