Didi and Baez are averaging over 4 points per game in my fantasy baseball league. Ridiculous. Didi was the ~100th pick. Javier Baez, ~175th.
I'm on my way to losing a bet because of awful NBA officiating. Boston now leads Milwaukee 3-2. Boston has edged out two home wins with the help of the officials. Game 1: Greek Freak fouls. Game 5: Shot Clock Violation.
1. Geese are extremely aggressive and will attack humans. Keystone Technology Park pays someone and a dog to keep Geese off the property.
2. ~1,000. Mosquitos kill more people daily than Sharks have in the last century.
People playing the stock market will buy the future and sell for news. Reason why $NFLX is same market cap as $DIS despite the discrepancy in revenue. I hope Disney will gain love once they prove that Netflix can't knock Disney's moat. I considered selling $ATVI and $CRM today. Joel Greenblatt recently mentioned these were two stocks he shorts given their high P/E. I decided to hold strong to my strategy of not selling and instead just continuous buying into the market and let the market compound for me. Two positions I think I need more of are $FIAT and $ESRX. Although, I'm not sure if I want these as lifers. My portfolio consists mostly of stocks I never plan on selling. The companies that aren't, are value plays and have potential to be lifers if their short term performance impresses. $AAPL continues to be a stock value investors endorse given the ginormous cash flow and revenue relative to price. The market isn't as loving, as mentioned above, growth has been the buyers play for the last few years.
What I don't understand is the Blackberry-Apple comparisons. Numbers aside, I don't remember Blackberry ever having a moat. The Apple ecosystem is something that can't be competed with, can't be dropped by the user, and is still producing for the future. Blackberry maybe was the phone for the business man or celebrity for the time being, but never had the uproar of an Apple iPhone. Fortunately for me, I grew up when the iPhone came out and was able to recognize one of the greatest products ever. You couldn't and still can not live without these things.
A company is nothing without cash. Apple has the resources, intelligence, and ecosystem to be 1000x more than a iPhone, hardware company. Any comparisons to Blackberry are blasphemous.
