Social media isn't about facts. My twitter feed is all about learning - I follow financial advisors, podcasters, and doctors for the most part.
But social media is all about confrontation. Facts and stories that are easily agreed upon get no love/attention. Topics of conversation vary but they are always to the extreme and quite trivial.
